There were four who participated in the trip: when the ship was only 300 meters from the shore in front of the Milano Marittima canal, two participants in the trip jumped into the sea. One of the two, a woman, emerged shortly after. The man, on the other hand, disappeared into the sea.
The tragedy around 5 in the afternoon. The three of the catamaran tried to recover it but, one by the wind, they found the vehicle difficult to operate. At that moment they decided to go back and ask for help. Rescue vehicles intervened immediately but searches continued until last night and then stopped due to darkness.
They intervened on the spot the Port Authority, the Coast Guard and Firefighters, who arrived at the stretch of beach adjacent to the first Traversa by helicopter from Bologna and the divers from Ravenna, who have scoured the area in search of the missing tourist. The investigation focused on the farthest stretch of sea and then approached the beach when the wind and tide were turning.
