Coronavirus infections continue to increase in Italy. According to the data reported in today’s bulletin, Sunday, October 18, issued by the Ministry of Health, 11,705 cases have been registered in the last 24 hours (yesterday there were 10,925), bringing the total since the start of the health emergency amounts to 402,536. The cured are 251,461 (+2,334 in the last 24 hours, yesterday they were +1,255) and the deaths are 36,543 (+69, yesterday they were 47). In our country there are currently 126,237 positive cases: of these 7,131 patients are hospitalized with symptoms, while 705 are in intensive care. Overall, the swabs performed in the last 24 hours were 146,541, for a total of 13,540,582 since the beginning of the epidemic.
The most affected regions are still Lombardy (+2,975), Piedmont (+1,123), Lazio (1,198) and Campania (1,376).
