Today, Sunday 13 December in Campania the daily bulletin of Sars-CoV2 infections reports an increase of 1,219 cases out of 17,319 swabs performed in public and private facilities. The sad count of Coronavirus victims increases by 35 units (15 died in the last 48 hours and 20 died previously but registered yesterday); the good news is about the day’s intensive care admissions: zero.
There are 1,804 hospitalized with symptoms in public and private structures of the regional hospital system. Therefore, the decrease in the incidence of infections in the region is confirmed, although slow, probably a prelude to a reclassification in the yellow zone of Campania, which could happen on Friday 18 when the Higher Institute of Health and the Ministry of Health will provide weekly monitoring data for the pandemic.
Among the issues that are of most concern now is the risk that the reopening of businesses will cause new cases of social gatherings, a prelude to a resurgence of infections in the next month, that is, between the end of December and the beginning of January. For this reason, controls are in place especially at night in Naples in particular and in its metropolitan area, in order to avoid sensational cases of meetings or non-compliance with the rules in question of schedules in the orange zone.
