Daniel Guerini, Primavera de Lazio, died in a car accident

A tragedy upsets Lazio and the world of football. Daniel Guerini, a Primavera player, born in 2002, formerly from Turin, Fiorentina and Spal, died in a terrible car accident, with some appearances also in the blue youth teams. Two other colleagues were seriously injured. The accident occurred around 8 pm on Wednesday in Rome, in via Togliatti, at the junction with viale dei Romanisti.

The accident

Guerini was traveling aboard a Smart For Four that, for reasons yet to be determined, collided head-on with a Mercedes A-Class. The two boys who were with Guerini, rescued by the 118, were transported in code red to the Tor Vergata Polyclinic and Umberto I. The conditions of the Class A driver, a 68-year-old man, transported in shock to the hospital, were less severe. Carabinieri and the municipal police have launched investigations to establish the causes of the tragedy.
