These are today’s data from the daily bulletin related to the spread of the Covid-19 coronavirus, issued by the Health Promotion department of the Puglia Region. Unfortunately, the death toll continues to rise: 27 (also in this case, never that many in one day, here the full bulletin). On the front of hospital saturation, a new wave of hospitalizations: +113 in a single day (the highest number of the second wave). The positive / swab ratio also increased: 16.8 cases per 100 tests.
Details of the new infections: 677 in the province of Bari, 84 in the province of Brindisi, 106 in the province BAT, 189 in the province of Foggia, 110 in the province of Lecce, 153 in the province of Taranto, 12 residents outside the region, 1 case from the province of unknown residence. Regarding the 27 deaths: 11 in the province of Bari, 2 in the province of BAT, 8 in the province of Foggia, 5 in the province of Lecce, 1 in the province of Taranto. Beyond the explanations about the readjustment of the data, the situation in Bari seems extremely explosive, with 50% of the data recorded throughout the regional territory. The results of Lecce and Taranto are once again high and very high, while Foggia is confirmed in its worrying trend. As for the deaths, the five from Salento take into account the victims of whom the news was known yesterday.
622,094 tests have been carried out since the emergency began. 8,013 are recovered patients. Currently 20,099 are positive cases. The total number of positive Covid cases in Puglia is 29,008 divided as follows: 11,638 in the province of Bari; 3,107 in the province of Bat; 2,068 in the province of Brindisi; 6,895 in the province of Foggia; 2,122 in the province of Lecce; 2,963 in the province of Taranto; 214 attributed to residents outside the region; 1 province of unknown residence.
Asl’s Prevention Departments have activated all the procedures for the acquisition of anamnestic and epidemiological information, with the aim of tracing close contacts.
