Crotone-Spezia 4-1: goals from Messias (2), Reca, Eduardo and Farias

Crotone started to score and Stroppa finally achieved his first championship win. La Spezia sinks, better in the first half but lost in the second, when the Calabrians close it quickly. Messias once again over the top, and this time he collects what he produces: a double and a goal disallowed in poker that also includes the first Italian goals from Reca and Eduardo (4-1 the result).

La Spezia starts as usual, with the courage of a very high line. Bad choice, it would seem like a prodrome. Messias runs well in those spaces. Two minutes later he has Chabot cautioned after having failed him with control in the center of the field. In the 7th minute, however, he can run from far away and go one-on-one with Terzi in the open field: Spezia’s defender hesitates too much, the Brazilian who has reached the limit moves the ball and slides into the far corner. The Italian team knows that risks are inevitable but insists on the way of playing it has chosen. And that pays off. The high pressure in fact leads Crotone to the error in disconnection: at 18 ‘Zanellato in low construction “sees” the third free man but loses the trajectory, Farias intercepts him, drives in and hits Cordaz. Even this mistake should be considered an “acceptable” risk in the pursuit of low build, and Crotone blames its weight instead. Then, also due to the absence of the directors (Cigarini, Benali), he soon renounced possession to immediately seek the deep shot.
