A’ship with on board a score of migrants caught fire in the sea area off Praialonga in Crotone province while they were underway transshipment operations in naval units of the port authorities off the coast of Calabria. On the ship later there were explosion presumably caused by the fuel on board. The causes that triggered the fire are currently unknown.
Six missing migrants and two injured financiers
In the place are the naval units of the Crotone Port Authority and the Guardia di Finanza that are recovering people ended up in the sea. Some migrants have been rescued, but six are missing. Two financiers assisting the ship were injured: one would break his leg and the other would be burned. a Coast Guard aircraft for rescue operations.
