Finding out where the body is, and if those remains are from Sabrina, would allow us to put a first point in the investigation. From the hours after the night of August 15, when firefighters they put out the panda’s fire at 10.30pm, parked on a country road in Shameful, tests on the bones inside the car had specified that it was a dog, euthanized to deceive the investigation. Thesis confirmed by two veterinarians, one private and one from Ats Val Padana. It seemed a desperate attempt at defense, but the Cremona Prosecutor’s Office opened it to a new examination. We have entrusted the task to the forensic Cristina Cattaneo – explained the prosecutor Roberto Pellicano – and we do not want to exclude clues: on the one hand, the body is not found, and we have examined a good part of the areas that Pasini, who has never left Crema, could have used to get rid of the body; on the other, Pasini insisted on stating that Sabrina was in the car and not a dog. Dr. Cattaneo should accept our position in early September, we hope to have responses in the next few days. The bones found by the Ris are only a part of those found, but in sufficient quantity for an expert opinion.
The investigations
Finding the body would only be the conclusion of part of the investigation, with searches now halted awaiting developments. In any case, Pasini’s position would not be lightened. The man admitted both the destruction of the body -explains the prosecutor Pellicano- and the collapse of the building, since he explained that he wanted to leave the former’s apartment, where Sabrina would die. The fact that the remains are in the car or in another place changes little, in fact it would confirm the desire to make the body disappear, to avoid autopsy: we continue to believe in voluntary murder. Pasini said that Sabrina died of an overdose (in this case she could be charged with murder for death caused by another crime, more serious than homicide and less than voluntary murder), but the prosecutor does not believe her. The Ris have found the presence of blood both at the site of the alleged murder and on the 45-year-old man’s sneakers. Not only: Pasini said the 39-year-old was bleeding in the bathroom, but plasma was also found on the landing., with patches that may have been caused by dripping. And from the landing, that is, from the apartment stairs (not from the bathroom), a neighbor would have heard Sabrina ask for help at 5 in the morning on August 15. Two details, combined with the fact that those who overdose generally don’t lose blood, make Pasini’s version unconvincing.
