Covid vaccine in Italy, who are the first to receive it

I will start next Sunday, in Italy and in other European countries,the vaccination campaign against Covid-19. First on the list are the doctors, nurses, staff and guests of RSA, the nursing homes. Almost all regions have identified the first people to be immunized. Vaccination is not mandatory for anyone. Therefore, doctors and nurses were asked whether they wanted to participate or not. For the debut on the 27th, then, volunteers were chosen, regardless of the actual roster. Each region is organized according to its own criteria but in most cases it will start from the so-called vaccination teams, that is, teams made up of a doctor and three nurses who must inoculate the vaccine to their colleagues. The percentage of compliance with the vaccine by health personnel is considered very important. Not only in itself, that is, to protect a category more exposed to contagion than others. But also because of the message of trust or distrust that it will give to the rest of the population, which will only be vaccinated later.
