The data from the new ISS monitoring of the epidemic are compatible with the entry into force of the strictest restrictions as of tomorrow or Monday

ROME – Tuscany is at risk of going from the yellow zone to the red zone in a week due to the risk of Covid. The data on the evolution of the infection processed for the new weekly monitoring of the higher institute of health -relative to the week of November 2 to 8- are compatible with the need to impose the highest level of restriction in the regional territory as of tomorrow or, at the latest, from Monday, November 16.

After all, Tuscany entered the orange zone only two days ago, Wednesday, November 11, but in the previous days there were moments of strong tension, especially due to the celebration of some hospitals on the verge of saturation. And although this week some data on the infection have shown signs of improvement, it is clearly not considered sufficient to prevent the establishment of the red zone.

The data sent by the Regions to the ISS are being examined by the Scientific Technical Committee that tonight should announce the final result of the new follow-up. Then the decision to proceed with a new ordinance will depend on the government and in particular on the Minister of Health Speranza.

In addition to Tuscany, Campania could also enter the red zone, still in the yellow zone, while Emilia Romagna, Friuli Venezia Giulia and Marche would officially change from yellow to orange.
