Covid, towards a new Dpcm: the hypotheses

A closing of the premises (restaurants, bars, pubs) between 10pm and 11pm, to be modulated with more ‘squeeze’ on weekends, could be one of the measures contained in a new Dpcm with even stricter anti-Covid rules. Prime Minister Giuseppe Conte discusses it in the long majority meeting convened at Palazzo Chigi with the double agenda: maneuver and Covid.

The hypothesis remains that of deepen the new measures, with a new Dpcm to be issued shortly. In government, sensitivities to the new provisions would be different. In addition, tomorrow at 9 in the morning it should also be discussed in coordination between the government (with Ministers Boccia and Speranza), Civil Protection, Regions, and Commissioner Arcuri.

Among the new provisions could be a new grip on amateur contact sports and some physical activities (gyms could end up in the viewer); hairdressers, beauticians and beauty salons; cinemas and theaters; game rooms and bingo. By Smart work seems likely to be a decisive implementation, up to 70%. Schools should stay out of these new restrictions, even if the CTS had been given directions for modulated “dad” as well as staggered schedules. The provisions could be more restrictive for regions with higher risk. A new blockade, explicitly excluded by Prime Minister Conte, is out of the question.
