After the summit with the Scientific Technical Committee, the experts’ desire to close the Christmas period arose.

Based on what has been learned, the CTS would have expressed the need for the measures to be consolidated and possibly expanded and strengthened with a kind of blockade throughout the Christmas period.

The morning’s meeting at Palazzo Chigi saw the summit between the Prime Minister, the heads of the majority delegation and the Scientific Technical Committee.

According to the CTS, the new hardening is necessary, the technicians explain, due to the impossibility on the one hand of a capillary control of the territory and on the other hand to data that continue to be “worrying”, with an incidence of new cases still too high (in the last follow-up was 193 per 100,000 inhabitants, when it should be 50 per 100,000 to guarantee follow-up).

For the moment, on the nature of the measures to be adopted, three hypothetical scenarios are outlined, according to what has been learned:

Scenario 1: National Orange Zone from December 24 to January 1. Therefore, the bars and restaurants will be closed for lunch and a stop at the exit of their municipality;

Scenario 2: National red zone on the days before holidays and bank holidays, therefore, from December 24 to 27, from December 31 to January 3 and from January 5 to 6. Therefore, stores are also closed, as well as all non-essential activities. Stop leaving home except for the reasons provided by the Dpcm, that is, health, work and proven need;

Scenario 3: national orange zone from December 24 to January 6, with the strengthening of the curfew that would begin at 8 p.m., if not 6 p.m.

As to movements between municipalitiesFor the moment, the hypothesis of granting people who live in the center of less than 5,000 inhabitants leave the municipality on vacation remains the most accredited, with routes that should not include routes greater than 30 km.
