There are 731 new Covid cases registered in Sicily in the last 24 hours. It’s the lowest figure in a month and a half now. Instead, twenty-two people died. Overall, hospitalizations are declining, but people who have required intensive care hospitalization are increasing slightly.

In fact, the people currently hospitalized are 1273 (-37) with 182 in intensive care (+3). Those cured in the last 24 hours have been 1,532 and therefore the number of positive casualties is currently decreasing again (there are 33,865 in total, 32,592 of which in home isolation). With 22 deaths in the last 24 hours, the number of Sicilian victims since the start of the pandemic has risen to 2,109.

The swabs processed were 8,109 and therefore the ratio between positives on the number of tests performed is 9%.

In Italy the new cases were 17,992 with another 674 deaths (deaths in Italy are 67,894)

THE RISK BANDS. “Three regions (Lazio, Liguria and Veneto) are classified as high risk. None of these were classified as high risk for 3 or more consecutive weeks. “This is what emerges from the report of the Higher Institute of Health-Ministry of Health with the weekly monitoring of the Covid epidemic in Italy, in the draft in Power of the Adnkronos Cheers.
During the follow-up week, “a moderate or high risk is still observed in most regions and autonomous provinces, with five regions and autonomous provinces at low risk of an uncontrolled and unmanageable epidemic.” These 5 are Basilicata, Calabria, Campania, Molise and Sicily.
