CAGLIARI. The downward curve of Covid infections in Sardinia continues. In fact, 25,645 positive Covid-19 cases have been detected in Sardinia since the beginning of the emergency. In the last update of the Regional Crisis Unit, 168 new cases were detected. There are also 7 deaths (570 in total), four women and three men between 74 and 97 years old. The victims: four residents from the province of Sassari, two from the metropolitan city of Cagliari and one from southern Sardinia.

In total, 417,034 swabs were performed with an increase of 3,162 tests. On the other hand, 586 patients are currently hospitalized in non-intensive wards (nine fewer than yesterday), while the number of patients in intensive care is 61 (-3). There are 14,343 people in home isolation.

The progressive number of positive cases includes 9,957 (+228) recovered patients, plus another 128 clinically recovered. In the territory, of a total of 25,645 confirmed positive cases, 5,602 (+45) were detected in the metropolitan city of Cagliari, 4,097 (+42) in southern Sardinia, 2,075 (+34) in Oristano, 4,713 (+7) ) in Nuoro, 9,158 (+40) in Sassari.
