Florence, November 10, 2020 – The Tuscany in the last 24 hours it registered 2,223 more cases than the positive COVID-19 – average age 47 years – compared to yesterday, with an increase of 3.4%. In total, today there are 67,413 positives since the beginning of the pandemic. Unfortunately they register 54 deaths in one day, the highest number since the beginning of the pandemic: 27 men and 27 women with an average age of 83 years. The deaths occurred in Florence (18), 5 in Prato, 5 in Pistoia, 3 in Massa Carrara, 7 in Lucca, 5 in Pisa, 6 in Livorno, 4 in Arezzo, one in Grosseto.
It has not been since April 10 that such a high number has been reached (it was 46 then).
Since the start of the pandemic, 1,648 people have died from Covid. The number of hospitalized patients also continues to increase: there are 1,824 in total, 48 more than yesterday, of which 242 in intensive care (8 more).
Tuscan Governor Eugenio Giani also spoke today of the pressure on hospitals: “I am not worried about going back to yellow or not, my concern is to make all the necessary interventions to relieve the pressure on our hospital system,” he said speaking with Rainews24.
