Covid, second consecutive day without deaths in Prato. There are 17 new infections [notiziediprato.it]

Good news for Prato, in front of the Covid emergency, also from the bulletin published by the Region on Boxing Day. For the second day in a row, no deaths are reported in the province among people infected with the coronavirus. Furthermore, compared to yesterday when there were 50, today only 17 new cases of positivity are indicated in Prato. It had been a long time since there had been two days in a row without victims, after two months marked by too much pain. Therefore, the total number of Covid victims in the Prato area remains stable at 242, while the total number of infected people since the beginning of the pandemic stands at 10,291.

In Tuscany, 402 cases of coronavirus positivity are instead with 4,920 swabs analyzed in the various laboratories, of which 8.2% are positive. On the other hand, 1,895 subjects were analyzed today (excluding control swabs), of which 21.2% were positive. To these are added 349 rapid antigenic swabs.
Overall, in Tuscany there are 22 new deaths: 16 men and 6 women with an average age of 83.9 years. The current positives are 10,878 today, -3.5% compared to yesterday. There are 991 hospitalized (18 less than yesterday), of which 166 in intensive care (stable). Even in Prato, the hospitalization situation remains comforting: 72 Covid patients are in the Santo Stefano medical area and 8 are in intensive care. In contrast, there are 38 occupied beds in the La Melagrana center in Narnali, 27 in the Lex Med building, 20 in Villa Fiorita and 3 in the Pegaso Center in the former Creaf.
