Lido di Camaiore, December 21, 2020 – At the Versilia hospital in Lido di Camaiore, “in no Covid departments the positivity of some patients to the second swab performed during the hospital stay. These people, however all asymptomatic, were immediately transferred to the Covid rooms and the related epidemiological investigation was carried out, to understand when and where the infection could have spread. As a precaution, molecular smears were performed on all hospitalized patients. Meanwhile, from the antigenic tests carried out on the employees, certain positivity emerged, confirmed by molecular tests, and the affected operators have already been isolated at their homes ”.

This was announced by the medical director of the hospital. Giacomo Corsini. “Once the picture of the situation has been defined – Corsini underlines in a note -, thanks to the availability and professionalism of the personnel of the structures involved, the necessary organizational changes have already been implemented”.




Specifically, he adds, “in the specific setting in which positivity was found, he was no longer hospitalized. Furthermore, bubbles have also been created in personnel management and visitor access has been suspended ”.
