Aosta – One long line at the ticket office, meet in the cable car without distancing myself, everyone waiting to get on the elevators. Thus began the first day of skiing in Breuil-Cervinia in Val d’Aosta. A situation that generated concern, despite the fact that most skiers wear goggles.
It has been approx. 2,200 and receives Tireless ski enthusiasts who did not want to miss out on the privilege of ‘first day’, a tradition for lovers of winter sports.
“The queue at the box office lasted until 10”, announced from the Cervino Spa. Some traffic jams on the first two lifts, also thanks to a setback in the operation of the 6-seater cable car that transports skiers to the Plan Maison from Breuil-Cervinia.
As can be seen in the photographs published by users on social networks in the cable car there was no personal distancing: the cabins left with the maximum capacity.
Images that have aroused much controversy. The regulations in force in Val d’Aosta foresee the total capacity in cable cars, cable cars and chair lifts.
On the slopes and on the ski lifts, however, no problems were reported. The Cervino Spa company supplied the surgical mask to those who did not have it.
Today the ski lifts and slopes of Breuil-Cervinia, Plateau Rosa ‘, Plan Maison, Fornet and Bontadini have been opened.
“The situation is under control, with people scattered everywhere, with no particular problems,” said the president of Cervino spa. «Then I would say that until now – he explains – we can be satisfied. Obviously we are here ready to improve those small criticisms that may have been highlighted, but basically to live it and above all to make this experience available to all the other colleagues in the rest of the Valle d’Aosta areas. As we had already agreed, with the Region in primis “,” to take advantage of these experiences “to” try to advance even further, in a protocol that at this moment seems to have worked well. “
The excellent snow coverage allows the Valle d’Aosta station to be among the first to open in Italy with Stelvio, Valsenales and Solda.
You can ski not only on the Swiss slopes of the Plateau Rosà glacier, but also on the Italian side at the top of the ‘Ventina’, from Plateau Rosà to Cime Bianche Laghi, and up to Plan Maison. The protocols provide for the prohibition of access to implants with a body temperature above 37.5 degrees and the obligation of a surgical mask. Chairlifts and cable cars travel at 100 percent capacity.
