While the president of the Region Vito Bardi, on public television, continues to say that in the management of the health emergency everything is fine and that Lucanian problems are the responsibility of the Government, events that have to do exclusively with management occur in the territory emergency room.
This is another story of inefficiency and confusion in the Vulture area.
Once again it is a family unit, with young children, from Rionero in Vulture. This time to contact us, after having read the story of the Nardozza and another family struggling against isolation, it is Debora.
“Our misadventure – is quite long – explains the woman – And I think we are only at the beginning …
At the end of October – he begins to tell – my brother-in-law had contact with a person who tested positive. Informed of this, he goes to Potenza to undergo the swab, which gives a positive result.
On October 31, my sister is placed in solitary confinement with her 4 children (the youngest is only 1 month old), away from her partner. Days go by, the family doctor prescribes some medicines to fight the fever, which in the meantime occurs, along with the cough. At the same time – adds Debora – my mother has the same symptoms but since she has not had close contact with my brother-in-law (but only with my sister) it is not necessary, according to the ASP and the family doctor, that she be isolated and that someone go clean it.
Thus the days pass, exactly 12, in absolute silence of those who must monitor the positives and close contacts in isolation. On November 12 they contact my sister about the hyssop, but she has to go do it … And the children? To the children (children of the positives) no buffer. The next day my sister is going to do the test and obviously, not being able to leave the children alone, she entrusts them to our mother.
Debora, who has recorded in her memory every day, adds: on November 15 (after 2 days from the hyssop and 15 from the beginning of isolation) my sister communicates positivity. They put my mom in solitary confinement. And so everything begins again in absolute silence. “
Then, the woman confirms what other citizens of Rionero in isolation for covid have already said: “The numbers you have to call are always busy! Today, November 18, no one contacted my mom to ask about her health and to let her know when she will have the swab. But there is more: no one called my sister to ask about her health and that of her children and especially about hyssop to children. My youngest granddaughter is 1 month old, two others suffer from asthma ”.
Debora, after having also done the molecular test in a private laboratory, tested negative, but she is also experiencing on her skin the breakdowns and dysfunctions of a system that now seems to have exceeded the limits of decency.
“Be human, be men and be women. Be professional – it is the appeal of this concerned sister and aunt – There should be no referrals and clients in this situation.
