CAGLIARI. A total of 27,142 positive Covid-19 cases have been detected in Sardinia since the beginning of the emergency. In the latest update of the Regional Crisis Unit, 405 new cases were detected. There are also 23 deaths (623 in total). The victims: seven inhabitants from the province of Sassari, five from the metropolitan city of Cagliari, five from southern Sardinia, three from the province of Nuoro, three from that of Oristano.

In total, 432,157 swabs were performed with an increase of 5,601 tests. On the other hand, 550 patients are currently hospitalized in non-intensive wards (-20 compared to yesterday’s figure), while the number of patients in intensive care is 57 (-1). There are 14,877 people in home isolation. The progressive number of positive cases includes 10,819 (+224) recovered patients, plus another 216 clinically recovered.

In the territory, of the 27,142 positive cases verified in total, 5,894 (+112) were detected in the metropolitan city of Cagliari, 4,261 (+44) in the south of Sardinia, 2,153 (+37) in Oristano, 5,416 (+144) ) in Nuoro, 9,418 (+68) in Sassari.
