There are 23,225 new positives on Covid in Italy according to the December 3 bulletin. The dead are close to a thousand: 993 since yesterday, never so many since the beginning of the pandemic. The incidence of new people testing positive was stable at 10.2% compared to the number of swabs done in the past 24 hours. Specifically, the tests were 226,729. Yesterday the incidence was 10%.
The total number of people infected since the beginning of the emergency amounts to 1,664,829 while the victims amount to 58,138. There are 23,474 more cured, an increase that brings the total number of people who have overcome the virus since the beginning of the emergency to 846,809. The positives currently decrease compared to the previous day, that is, how many people with coronavirus are in the care of the national health system than today there are 1,248 fewer. In total, the people positive for the coronavirus in Italy are 759,982.

Lombardy, Veneto and Campania continue to be the regions with the highest increase in Covid cases in the last 24 hours, with 3,751, 3,581 and 2,295 new patients respectively. Only in Lombardy, in the latest bulletin, 347 deaths and 32 new admissions to intensive care are recorded. Next, the other regions with the highest increase in positives are Piedmont (2230), Lazio (1769) and Emilia Romagna (1766). Puglia has the highest number of new admissions to intensive care (33).
Friuli Venezia Giulia
Today in Friuli Venezia Giulia 772 new infections have been detected (7.74 percent of the 9,970 swabs performed). Additionally, 34 deaths from Covid-19 were recorded, in addition to 18 other previous deaths entered into the system today. This was announced by the Deputy Governor responsible for Health, Riccardo Riccardi. A total of 32,970 people who have tested positive for the virus in the region since the beginning of the pandemic, of which: 7,696 in Trieste, 14,437 in Udine, 6,353 in Pordenone and 4,088 in Gorizia, in addition to 396 people from outside the region. The current cases of infection are 15,297. 59 patients are in intensive care and the number of hospitalized in other wards has dropped to 629 (-23 since yesterday). The deaths totaled 941, with the following territorial subdivision: 321 in Trieste, 375 in Udine, 195 in Pordenone and 50 in Gorizia. The totally cured are 16,732, the clinically cured 414 and the isolated 14,195.
Campania
There are 2,295, of which only 154 are symptomatic, the new positives of Covid detected in Campania in 24,709 tests carried out. The relationship between infections and tampons remains stable, as yesterday, at 9.3%. On the other hand, the decrease in hospitalizations continues: 162 places in intensive care were occupied (yesterday there were 173) of the 656 available and 2,041 ordinary places (yesterday 2,064) of the 3,160 available in public and private hospitals. Up to 54 new victims, reports the Crisis Unit, of which 28 died in the last 48 hours and 26 related to the last days but only registered yesterday.
Lazio
Today’s Lazio bulletin, Thursday, December 3, 2020, registers 1,769 positives in 24 hours (-22 compared to yesterday) and 38 deaths. In Rome 1,013 cases. Those cured are +756, while both cases and hospitalizations are decreasing. The projection of the Rt value, the contagion index, remains stable at 0.9. Therefore, active outbreaks are decreasing and the occupancy rate of beds in the medical area is reduced, says Councilor for Health D’Amato.

Tuscany
In Tuscany there are 929 more positives than yesterday, out of a total, since the beginning of the epidemic, which is equivalent to 105,804 units. New cases are 0.9% more than the total of the previous day. The average age of the 929 cases at present is around 50 years (9% are under 20 years old, 22% between 20 and 39, 35% between 40 and 59, 23% between 60 and 79, 11% age 80 or older). Those cured grew 4.6% and reached 67,618 (63.9% of all cases). The swabs made reached 1,606,027, 14,469 more than yesterday, of which 6.4% were positive. On the other hand, 4,845 subjects evaluated today (excluding control swabs), of which 19.2% were positive. To these are added the 3,492 rapid antigenic swabs that are being made today. The current positives are 35,430 today, -5.6% compared to yesterday. There are 1,739 hospitalized (46 less than yesterday), of which 272 in intensive care (1 more). Today there are 38 new deaths: 21 men and 17 women with an average age of 79.1 years. Regarding the province of residence, the deceased are: 10 in Florence, 7 in Prato, 1 in Pistoia, 4 in Massa Carrara, 5 in Lucca, 6 in Pisa, 3 in Livorno, 2 in Siena. Some of the deaths reported to regional offices in the last 24 hours refer to deaths in recent weeks.
Basilicata
In Basilicata today there are five deaths and a sharp decrease in coronavirus infections, with a positive / swab percentage of around 8.3%. In particular, as announced by the regional working group, in the last 24 hours 1,700 swabs were analyzed: 142 were positive, but only 124 refer to people residing in the region. With this update, the total number of Lucan victims rises to 155, that of those currently positive to 6,207 (6,022 in home isolation). The number of cured continues to grow: yesterday 78 were registered, a total of 1,956. The number of hospitalized people went from 179 to 185 and the number of places occupied in intensive care from 21 to 24. Since the start of the health emergency, 156,657 swabs have been analyzed in Basilicata, of which 146,418 were negative.
Lombardy
There are 3,751 new positives compared to a series of swabs made of 36,271, (10.3%) registered in Lombardy in the last 24 hours, while 347 deaths for a total of 22,626. The number of hospitalized patients, both in wards (-197) and in intensive care (-19), is decreasing – explains the Lombardy Region. 836 patients remain in the ICU and 7,025 non-ICU patients. In Milan there are 1,311 cases, of which 495 in the city of Milan; in Bergamo 104; in Brescia 269, in Como 457, in Cremona 74, in Lecco 68, in Lodi 121, Mantua 86, Monza and Brianza, 323, in Pavia: 299 in Sondrio 95 and in Varese, finally, 454.
