Covid Italia, 17,992 infections and 674 deaths: the bulletin

There are 17,992 new coronavirus infections in Italy announced today according to data published in the Civil Protection bulletin. Since yesterday there have been another 674 deaths. 179,800 swabs were made in the last 24 hours. There are 2,819 patients admitted to intensive care (-36 since yesterday).

The situation region by region:

CAMPANIA – There are 1,201 new cases of coronavirus that have emerged in the last 24 hours in Campania from the analysis of 18,146 swabs. Of the 1,201 new cases, 114 are symptomatic and 1,087 are asymptomatic. 56 new deaths are included in today’s bulletin published by the Crisis Unit of the Campania Region.

LOMBARDY – There are 2,744 new coronavirus infections in Lombardy announced today according to data published in the Civil Protection bulletin. Since yesterday, another 60 deaths have been registered, bringing the total to 24,225 since the beginning of the emergency linked to the epidemic in the region.

PIEDMONT – There are 1,210 new coronavirus infections in Piedmont, according to the bulletin published today. Since yesterday there have been another 79 deaths, 5 of which occurred today. There are 243 hospitalized in intensive care (+3 compared to yesterday). There are 3,516 hospitalized patients who are not in intensive care (81 compared to yesterday). There are 40,286 people in home isolation.

TUSCANY – “The new positive cases registered in the last 24 hours in Tuscany are 514 out of 11,384 molecular swabs and 5,553 rapid tests performed”. This was announced on Facebook by the president of Tuscany, Eugenio Giani, anticipating the data from the regional bulletin on the progress of the coronavirus epidemic. LAZIO – There are 1,428 new coronavirus infections in Lazio according to the bulletin published today. Since yesterday there have been another 74 deaths. In Lazio there are 77,159 currently positive cases for Covid-19, of which 2,780 are hospitalized, 310 in intensive care and 74,069 in home isolation. ABRUZZO – There are 227 new cases of coronavirus in Abruzzo according to the latest bulletin. There are 9 other deaths.

EMILIA ROMAGNA – There are 1,745 new coronavirus infections in Emilia Romagna released today according to data published in the Civil Protection bulletin. Since yesterday there have been another 75 deaths, raising the total to 6,950 since the beginning of the emergency linked to the epidemic in the region.

VALLE D’AOSTA – Three new deaths, for a total of 365, and 500 current positive cases, an increase of 5 compared to yesterday, of which 70 in the hospital, 7 in intensive care and 423 in home isolation. These are the data on the coronavirus epidemic in Valle d’Aosta published today by the Region’s bulletin. Since the beginning of the Covid emergency until today, the total of positive cases are 6986, + 24, the cured 6121, + 16 compared to yesterday, the total of swabs made to date is 67,645, + 306, of which 8046 processed With rapid antigen test.

PUGLIA – According to today’s latest bulletin, there are 1,314 new cases of coronavirus in Puglia. Another 29 deaths were also reported.

VENETO – According to today’s latest bulletin, there are 4,211 new cases of coronavirus in Veneto. Another 107 deaths reported in the last 24 hours.
