Covid, infections to 10 thousand, deaths are 55 – Last minute

(ANSA) – ROME, OCTOBER 16 – New Covid infections in Italy in the last 24 hours have reached 10,000: in the last 24 hours, according to the Ministry of Health bulletin, 10,010 cases have been registered (yesterday 8,804 ). The swabs were 150,377. The deaths. there were 55, compared to 83 yesterday.

The percentage of Covid positives in Italy for swabs performed rises to 6.6%. This is what emerges from the analysis of the data from today’s newsletter from the Ministry of Health. Hospitalizations continue to increase: in the last 24 hours they were 382 more than yesterday (in total 6,178). Intensive care is also on the rise (+52), now a total of 638. More than 100 thousand for patients in home isolation (+8,230, 100,496 in total).

Compared to yesterday, about 12,500 fewer swabs were done – 150,377 today. The positives are currently 107,312 (+8,046). The deaths reached the figure of 36,427 (+55). The healed are 247,872 (1,908). (HANDLE).
