Covid, infections on the rise in Lombardy and Italy

Coronavirus infections continue to grow in Italy. In the last 24 hours, positives have increased by 5,724 (yesterday were 5,372), with 29 deaths (yesterday 28). This is learned from the data of the Ministry of Health.

The swabs were 133,084, a new record (yesterday 129,471). Between regions Lombardy records 1,140 new positives, Campania 664, Veneto 561, Tuscany 548, Piedmont 499. Lazio has 384, Emilia Romagna 383. The total of cases is now 349,494, deaths 36,140.

In detail, in our region 82,988 recovered / discharged, while 1,140 new positives with 22,910 swabs performed, by a percentage equal to 4.9%. In Brescia there are now 57 new cases.

We remind you that the increase in positive cases, in Lombardy as in other regions, must always be related to the number of swabs performed. Without ever forgetting that, if we think in terms of absolute comparisons, the number of inhabitants of Lombardy is equal to 1/6 of the national population.
