Covid: infections and victims decrease, but 30 thousand fewer tampons – Last Hour

(ANSA) – ROME, NOV 01 – Covid infections in Italy are decreasing, they are 29,907 (yesterday 31,758), according to the bulletin of the Ministry of Health, but compared to more than 30,000 fewer tampons (183,457 against 215,886 yesterday); the increase in victims is 208 in 24 hours, also decreasing (yesterday 297).

In the country there have been more than 700,000 cases identified since the beginning of the epidemic: now there are 709,335, between cured and victims. The latter reached 38,826.

ICU patients increased by 96 units in 24 hours, bringing the total number of people in intensive care to 1,939. The new hospitalized in ordinary wards are 936, for a total of 18,902. Both figures are essentially stable compared to yesterday.

New maximum, however, for the proportion of positive swabs: in the last 24 hours the percentage reached 16.3%. The previous record was recorded yesterday at 14.7%.

Among the regions with the highest number of new infected coronaviruses identified, Lombardy always dominates with 8,607, then Campania 3,860, Tuscany 2,379, Lazio 2,351, Veneto 2,300, Piedmont 2,024, Emilia Romagna 1,758. Sicily follows, with 1,095 cases in 24 hours. (HANDLE).
