They are not red alert numbers, because the crude figures that Lombardy has known during the emergency are still an unthinkable comparison. But the pressure from the Covid hospital in the region is starting to grow again, and the numbers say so. In particular, on Thursday alone, virus-positive people admitted to intensive care units increased by five units in 24 hours: to find a more consistent daily increase, one has to scroll through the calendar to May 10; On Friday, however, here is good news, there was a drop of one unit and the total number of patients on Lombard resuscitations dropped to 26.

However, on Friday there were also 19 new hospitalizations in other departments, and this portion of the hospital population reached 244. In total, between intensive care units and other departments, 270 people are being treated: not so many since 3 July. In short, a reverse scenario appears to be looming: for comparison, the month of July ended with just 7 people in intensive care and 148 in other departments. Yesterday, however, 107 people were discharged or declared cured throughout Lombardy: since the beginning of the emergency, 76,574 Lombards have overcome the infection. If the number of Lombard hospitals grows, those in Bergamo offer a more stable tranquility.
