CAGLIARI. A total of 25,279 positive Covid-19 cases have been detected in Sardinia since the start of the emergency. In the latest update of the Regional Crisis Unit, 248 new cases (+ 5) were detected. There are also 7 deaths (556 in total), six men and one woman between 64 and 89 years old. The victims: three residents in the province of South Sardinia, three in the Metropolitan City of Cagliari and one in the province of Oristano.
A total of 409,587 swabs were performed with an increase of 4,163 tests. On the other hand, 610 patients are currently hospitalized in non-intensive wards (-11), while the number of patients in intensive care is 63 (+2). There are 14,321 people in home isolation. The progressive number of positive cases includes 9,615 (+262) recovered patients, plus another 114 clinically recovered. In the territory, of a total of 25,279 confirmed positive cases, 5,493 (+108) were detected in the metropolitan city of Cagliari, 4007 (+36) in southern Sardinia, 2,006 (+15) in Oristano, 4,696 (+2 ) in Nuoro, 9,077 (+87) in Sassari.
