CAGLIARI. A total of 23,429 positive Covid-19 cases have been detected in Sardinia since the beginning of the emergency. In the latest update of the Regional Crisis Unit there are 551 new cases. In the last 24 hours there have also been 5 deaths (511 in total). The total number of victims includes a readjustment of data from the province of Nuoro that led to the recalculation of deaths: 43 occurred in the previous period and already included in the information flow of the Higher Institute of Health platform. There is also a death that previously occurred in the province of Oristano.
In total, 389,753 swabs were performed with an increase of 4,774 tests. On the other hand, 591 patients are currently hospitalized in non-intensive wards (two less than yesterday), while the number of patients in intensive care is 70 (+4). There are 13,840 people in home isolation. The progressive number of positive cases includes 8,324 (+213) recovered patients, plus another 93 clinically recovered.
