Covid in Sardinia, 153 new cases and two deaths

The positivity rate is 3 percent, but the number of patients admitted to intensive care rises to 26

CAGLIARI. A total of 43,730 positive Covid-19 cases have been detected in Sardinia since the beginning of the emergency. In the last update of the Regional Crisis Unit, 153 new cases were detected. A total of 940,336 swabs were performed, for an overall increase of 4,558 tests compared to the previous figure. The ratio of positive cases to swabs performed marks a positive rate of 3% for the island. There are two new deaths (1,218 in total).

On the other hand, 173 patients are currently hospitalized in non-intensive wards (+1), while 26 (+2) patients are in intensive care. There are 13,030 people in home isolation. Those cured are a total of 29,098 (+89), while the people declared clinically cured on the island are currently 185.

In the territory, of the 43,730 positive cases verified in total, 10,906 (+60) were detected in the metropolitan city of Cagliari, 6,907 (+10) in the south of Sardinia, 3,596 (+8) in Oristano, 8,587 (+40) ) in Nuoro, 13,734 (+35) in Sassari.
