Another thousand new positives (slightly less than yesterday) and another ten deaths in 24 hours. The data that emerge in the latest Covid bulletin issued by the Health Promotion Department of the Puglia region are worrying.
Against 6196 swabs processed, in fact, 994 positive cases were registered: 373 in the province of Bari, 79 in the province of Brindisi, 123 in the province of BAT, 229 in the province of Foggia, 26 in the province of Lecce, 153 in the province of Taranto, 11 residents outside the region.
The 10 deaths were recorded: 3 in the province of Bari, 1 in the province of Brindisi, 1 in the province of Foggia, 1 in the province of Lecce, 4 in the province of Taranto.
579,259 tests have been carried out since the start of the emergency. 7,089 recovered patients. 14,233 are currently positive cases.
The total of positive Covid cases in Puglia is 22,085, divided as follows:
9,133 in the province of Bari;
2,427 in the province of Bat;
1,487 in the province of Brindisi;
5,154 in the province of Foggia;
1,518 in the province of Lecce;
2,203 in the province of Taranto;
162 attributed to residents outside the region;
1 province of unknown residence.
PUGLIA REGION 600 MASKS FOR BASIC DOCTORS – The Puglia region has started to distribute free choice protective equipment kits for the Covid emergency to general practitioners and pediatricians. With the collaboration of Poste Italiane, 300 FFP2 masks, 300 surgical masks, 1 protective visor, 1 pulse oximeter, 1 pack of 100 gloves, 10 gowns and 10 suits will be delivered to each clinic and each doctor involved. The material will be distributed by the Regional Civil Protection through the Italian Post network during the opening hours of the studies. “We have a lot of help that general practitioners will continue to provide us for the Covid emergency – comments the regional health advisor, Pierluigi Lopalco – making visits and smears to patients who request it, to decongest the hospital system we support follow-up activities and we thank them for this effort.
