The number of new infections registered in 24 hours in Italy continues to increase: there are 1,912, compared to 1,786 yesterday, compared to 107,269 swabs performed (the previous day there were more than 108 thousand). There are 20 dead. Two fewer patients in intensive care, for a total of 244. This is the image that emerges from the newsletter of the Ministry of Health on September 25 (LIVE UPDATES – THE SPECIAL). In the case of intensive care, however, the very different trend compared to previous months is confirmed: the percentage of positives admitted on April 4 was 4.5%, while on September 25 it was 0.5 % (THE SITUATION IN ITALY WITH MAPS AND INFOGRAPHIC). Even today there are no regions with zero daily cases. According to the ISS follow-up, the mean age of the positives is stable at 41 years.

Since the start of the pandemic, 306,235 people have tested positive for coronavirus in Italy, including those who have recovered and died. The victims, in total, are 35,801, with 20 dead in the last 24 hours. The cured, again in the last 24 hours, are 954, for a total of 222,716. The number of hospitalized with symptoms is 2,737 (+6). On the other hand, 44,737 people are in home isolation (+934). There are 10,894,963 total swabs, 107,269 more than on September 24. The cases analyzed so far are 6,584,670, net of how many swabs have been performed. Among the newsletter notes we read that the Sicilian Region reports that of the 107 new positive cases today, there are 6 invited immigrants in the Lampedusa hotspot.
