There are 34,283 new Covid-19 infections in Italy (yesterday 32,191), compared to 234,834 daily smears performed (yesterday 208,458), with the percentage of positives at 14.6% (yesterday 15.4%). This is the image that emerges from the newsletter of the Ministry of Health of November 18 on the situation of the coronavirus in Italy (UPDATES – SPECIAL). The victims are 753 in one day, while intensive care reaches 3,670 (+58). In the case of intensive care, however, the very different trend compared to previous months is confirmed: the percentage of positives admitted on April 4 was 4.5%, while on November 18 it was 0.5 %.

Coronavirus, the situation in Italy: graphs and maps
Since the start of the pandemic, 1,272,352 people have tested positive for coronavirus in Italy, including those who have recovered and died. The victims, in total, are 47,217, with 753 deaths in the last 24 hours (731 yesterday). 24,169 were healed in one day, for a total of 481,967. The patients with symptoms are 33,504 (+430). On the other hand, there are 705,994 people in home isolation (+8,870). Swabs totaled 19,474,341, an increase of 234,834 compared to November 17. The cases analyzed are 11,744,424 so far, net of how many swabs have been done.
The Friuli Venezia Giulia region announces that 54 positive cases registered from October 28 to November 12 and recovered from the flow of information from private laboratories are included in today’s data. The Emilia Romagna Region announces that after verifying the data communicated in recent days, 2 cases have been eliminated for not being considered Covid-19 cases. The Calabria region announces that today’s swab number includes swabs made in the previous days and processed outside the region.
