(ANSA) – CAGLIARI, SEPT 03 – The 1,000 swabs made these days among the staff of the Costa Smeralda accommodation facilities after the outbreaks registered in the week of August as a result of nightlife are all negative. Without contagion even among Mater Olbia’s doctors, nurses and patients, the Qatar Foundation clinic closed after the positivity of four people, where the drive-in activity for fast tampons had also been suspended.
The hospital will reopen in the next few days once the sanitation is complete.
“Zero positives, therefore there is no Costa Smeralda case”, explains Marcello Acciaro, coordinator of the Northern Sardinia Crisis Unit, commenting on the results of the tests.
The swabs were carried out in the hotels of the Smeralda holding in Porto Cervo: 240 in total among the employees of Pitrizza, Romazzino, Cervo and Cala di Volpe. Three hundred and forty tests for Mater Olbia staff and 40 for hospitalized patients. Already yesterday the mayor of La Maddalena had announced the negativity of the swabs, a total of 90 among the staff of the structure and the young guests, held at the summer center for children after the positivity of an educator.
