New wave of infections in Campania: today they are there 274 newly infected, 21 more than yesterday but with 1,475 fewer swabs. This is the result of the bulletin of the last 24 hours issued by the regional crisis unit: therefore, out of 6,104 tests, 274 were positive. Only in September, therefore, the number of infected rises to 4,604, 135 more than the sum of the positives in February, March and April, when the epidemic began to claim victims also in Campania.
More generally, the total number of positives rises to 11,629 of the 572,941 swabs performed, while the number of victims with the death registered yesterday amounts to 460. The hospital admissions figures are also worrying: only yesterday, two patients were hospitalized in intensive care. On the other hand, the number of recovered patients increased, from 5,638 to 5,688 with 50 negatives in 24 hours.
