Covid in buildings, all politicians infected – Politics

Covid has not forgiven Italian politicians since the beginning of the emergency, and often after the positive buffer, the announcements came through the social media of ministers, parliamentarians, governors and mayors through videos and posts. The last to be hit is Stefano bonaccini, President of Emilia Romagna who, after having been asymptomatic for days, explained in these hours on Facebook that he has pneumonia.

Among the first infected was the secretary of the Democratic Party and governor of Lazio, Nicola Zingaretti, tested positive on March 7 and ended up in home isolation for more than three weeks. The next day it was the turn of the president of Piedmont, Alberto Cirio, whose conditions during the course of the disease, fortunately, have never worsened. On March 13, the virus affected a member of the government, the Vice Minister of Health. Pier paolo sileri, followed on March 29 by the Vice Minister of Education, Anna Ascani. On June 18 also the undersecretary of the Democratic Party, Andrea Orlando, announced that it was positive.
On the night of September 2-3, the Forza Italia leader and former prime minister, Silvio Berlusconi, was hospitalized in San Raffaele because of Covid, only to be discharged on the 14th. On September 5, the former Minister of Health Beatriz Lorenzin, began treatment after testing positive. On October 16 it was the turn of the former Minister of Education, the parent company of Forza Italia, Maria Stella Gelmini. On October 23, the virus hit the Minister of Autonomies, Francesco Boccia, after his wife’s contagion case – a few days before Nunzia De Girolamo, former member of Forza Italia.

Overall, the pandemic affected several members of the House in October and many ended up isolated. On November 4 the Capitol also touched: the mayor of Rome, Virginia Raggi announced that it was positive.
