Covid does not give up Sicily: +474 cases

There are 474 new cases of coronavirus in Sicily in the last 24 hours, 34 more than yesterday. The tests carried out are 23,307, with a positive percentage of 2% (yesterday 1.8).

Eighteen victims of the virus, 2,119 discharged / cured. 27 fewer people are hospitalized in hospitals (-5 in intensive care), for a total of 1,007.

This is the distribution of the new infected in the nine provinces: 221 in Palermo, 79 in Catania, 45 in Syracuse, 34 in Messina, 24 in Agrigento, 21 in Ragusa, 18 in Trapani, 17 in Enna, 15 in Caltanissetta.

In all Italy there are 14,931 new positives. Yesterday it was 15,479. The victims are 251, yesterday they were 353.

The tests instead are 306.78 (yesterday 297.128): the positivity rate is 4.8%, yesterday it was 5.2% (so there is a 0.4% drop in 24 hours).

The positives currently increased by 2,175, for a total of 384,623. The number of people in home isolation is also increasing: there are 364,835 (+2,277). On the other hand, the discharges and recovered are 2,315,687 (+12,488 compared to yesterday). The total number of cases since the start of the epidemic in Italy now stands at 2,795,796 and deaths at 95,486.

2,063 people are hospitalized in intensive care, with an increase of 4 units in the daily balance between income and expenses. Daily admissions were 137. 17,725 people are now hospitalized in ordinary wards, 106 units less than yesterday.
