At the Villa dei Fiori clinic, in fact, he was now a member of the family, a medical historian from the Acerra health center, where he was well liked not only for his renowned professional skills, but also for his rare human qualities. For several years, the 70-year-old man was a family doctor: that is why, when the news of his disappearance spread immediately in the city, it took by surprise and upset all the people who knew him in life. His colleagues in the intensive care unit at the local hospital could do nothing to save him from this terrible disease, which now takes its toll every day.
