Zuppi underwent a swab yesterday after learning of some positive cases among the guests of the Casa del Clergy, where he resides. and in the morning the result came. The cardinal is asymptomatic and in good condition and must remain in isolation for the time established by health protocols.
The Archbishop will not be able to attend the commitments already on the agenda, including the ‘Te Deum’ in San Petronio on Thursday 31 and the Mass in San Pietro on January 1, while he will be able to continue with online appointments.
Immediately after learning that cases of positivity had been found at the Casa del Clerro, a residence where some elderly priests live and that Zuppi has chosen as his residence since his arrival in Bologna, Zuppi entered into voluntary self-quarantine and was suspended.
