Covid, a 50-year-old man and 7 other people die: 29 new infections

There are eight Covid deaths in Parma and its province in the last 24 hours. Among the people who died there was also a man in his 50s. The other dead are three women aged 70, 74 and 75 and four men, two 70, one 84 and one 90. In the same period of time, there were 29 new infections, of which 25 were symptomatic. 16 people are hospitalized in intensive care, two more patients than yesterday.

Since the start of the coronavirus epidemic, 177,988 positive cases have been registered in Emilia-Romagna, 1,818 more than yesterday, out of a total of 14,387 swabs made in the last 24 hours.

The percentage of new positives over the number of swabs made since yesterday is 12.6%.

Also since yesterday 8,499 quick swabs have also been made.

The control and prevention activity continues: of the newly infected, 752 are asymptomatic identified as part of the regional contact tracing and detection activities. Overall, among the new positives 327 were already isolated at the time of swab execution, 513 were identified within known foci.

The average age of new positives is currently 46.4 years.

Of the 752 asymptomatic, 347 were identified thanks to contact tracing, 44 through tests for risk categories introduced by the Region, 25 with serological tests, and 4 through pre-admission tests. The epidemiological investigation is still ongoing for 332 cases.

The contagion situation by province sees Bologna with 476 new cases, then Modena (295), Reggio Emilia (110), Ravenna (133), Ferrara (100), Parma (29), Piacenza (121), Rimini (302 ). Then the territories of Cesena (156), Forlì (73), Imola (23).

These are the data – verified today at 12 o’clock on the basis of institutional requests – related to the evolution of the epidemic in the region.

In the last 24 hours, 14,387 smears were made, for a total of 2,603,180. To these are added 129 serological tests and 8,499 quick swabs performed since yesterday.

As for the total number of people cured, they are 3,655 more than yesterday and reached 113,473.

Active cases, that is, actual patients, to date are 56,628 (-1,878 compared to yesterday). Of these, people isolated at home, that is, those with mild symptoms that do not require hospital treatment or are asymptomatic, are 53,737 (-1,891) in total, 95% of the total number of active cases.

Unfortunately, there are 41 new deaths: 6 in Piacenza (four women of which one of 72, one of 74, one of 88 and one of 89 years and two men of 73 and 99 years), 8 in the province of Parma (three women of 70, 74 and 75 years old and 5 men of which one of 50, two of 70, one of 84 and one of 90), 8 in the area of ​​Modena (of which 7 women of 74, 81, 89, 92, 95, 96 and 97 years old and a 79 year old man); 9 in the province of Bologna (7 women, of which one is 63, one is 81, one is 88, one is 92, one is 93, one is 95 and one is 97 and two men are 87 and 89 respectively); 1 83-year-old man in Ferrara; 4 deaths in the province of Ravenna (two women aged 77 and 89 and two men aged 64 and 87); 1 in Forlì-Cesena (an 87-year-old woman) and 3 in Rimini (three men, 78, 87 and 89 years old).
