There are 37,242 cases of coronavirus identified in Italy in the last 24 hours, about a thousand more than yesterday. The increase in casualties is instead of 699 in one day, an increase compared to yesterday.
Since the beginning of the emergency, 1,345,767 people have been infected so far, with a total of 48,569 victims. The regions that registered the highest increase in new cases in the last 24 hours are Lombardy (9,221) and Campania (4,226), both with a significant increase compared to yesterday, followed by Piedmont (3,861) and Veneto (3,468).
After days of decline the incidence of positives increases again compared to the number of swabs performed in the last 24 hours: it is 15.6% while yesterday the figure was 14.4%. The swabs made on the last day were 238,077, 12 thousand less than yesterday.
The increase in patients in intensive care continues to slow: in the last 24 hours there are 36 more than yesterday, for a total of 3,748. According to data from the Ministry of Health, the positives are currently 777,176, 15,505 more in the last 24 hours: of these, 33,957 are hospitalized in ordinary wards, with an increase of 347, and 739,471 in home isolation (+15,122). Finally, since the beginning of the emergency, 520,022 people have been discharged or cured, with an increase of 21,035 in one day.
