FLORENCE – The new positive cases registered in the last 24 hours in Tuscany, as we had anticipated this morning, are 1,929 (yesterday 1.892) out of a total of 17,481 swabs performed (23,027 yesterday), 1,229 identified in the course of screening and 700 of the detection activities.
am 7,590 tested subjects (excluding control swabs), of which 25.4% was positive (24.4% yesterday). To these are added the 2,246 rapid antigenic swabs that are currently being made. Tuscany ranks seventh in Italy in terms of the number of cases (including residents and non-residents), with around 2,539 cases per 100,000 inhabitants (the Italian average is 2,287 x 100,000, yesterday’s figure). The notification provinces with the highest rate are Prato with 3,234 cases x 100,000 inhabitants, Pisa with 3,096, Massa Carrara with 3,046, the lowest Siena with 1,473.
There are 49,888 (288 fewer than yesterday) people, also isolated, under active surveillance because they had contact with infected people.
As mentioned, there are 51 new deaths.
