(ANSA) – ROME, DEC 01 – There are 19,350 positive tests for coronavirus in the last 24 hours in Italy, according to data from the Ministry of Health illustrated by Gianni Rezza of the ISS at a press conference. About 180,000 swabs were done (182,100 to be exact), more than 50,000 more than yesterday. The positivity rate is around 10 percent, Rezza said. The victims are 785.
The positivity rate, that is, the relationship between the positives for coronavirus found and the tests carried out, falls by almost 2% compared to yesterday. Now it is at 10.6%, 1.9% less than the previous day (yesterday it was 12.5%). There are 3,663 patients in intensive care in Italy, 81 units less than yesterday. Those hospitalized in ordinary wards are now 32,811, 376 less than yesterday. There are 743,471 in home isolation, 8,069 less than yesterday.
Furthermore, today the number of discharged or cured patients has reached that of current positives. According to the data of the new bulletin of the Ministry of Health, the positives currently in Italy today are 779,945, while the cured are 784,595, with a difference of just 4,650 cases. (HANDLE).
