There will be 41 boxes in total (each box contains 975 doses) that will be distributed to the territorial poles to continue with the administration of the vaccine to the personnel of the health companies and the operators and guests of the RSA, who represent the recipients of the Phase 1 of vaccination. “In total 195 thousand people in Piedmont, 2/3 of whom have already expressed their willingness to join,” explains the Region. “We will receive about 40,000 weekly doses to complete Phase 1 of the vaccination campaign – says Luigi Genesio Icardi, Regional Councilor for Health. The organizational machine is ready to receive them and yesterday it has been tested with excellent results ”.

“We are working with the Ministry of Health to solve the problem of informed consent at the national level for RSA guests who do not have a legal representative, but are in a situation of so-called” natural disability “- explains the Commissioner of the Legal Area – Antonio Rinaudo administrative office -. The issue is complex, but extremely important and delicate if we take into account that only in Piedmont there are 10,000 people housed in our social assistance residences, that if this criticality is not resolved they will not be vaccinated ”.

Doses divided by provincial areas

For the territory of Turin 18 boxes and 17,550 doses: in particular 9 boxes and 8,775 doses for hospitals and RSA in the city of Turin and another 9 boxes and 8,775 doses in all destined to Chivasso, Ciriè, Ivrea, Moncalieri, Orbassano, Pinerolo and Rivoli.

For the Alessandria area, 5 boxes and 4,875 doses arrive for the Alessandria, Casale, Novi Ligure and Tortona hospitals and the RSA.

For the Asti area, 3 boxes and 2,925 doses destined for Cardinal Massaia of Asti, the Nice hospital and the RSA.

For the territory of Biella 2 boxes and 1,950 doses for the hospital for the sick and geriatric.

For the Cuneo area, 6 boxes and 5,850 doses destined for Santa Croce and Carle and for the hospitals of Mondovì, Savigliano, Verduno and RSA.

For the Novara area 3 boxes and 2,925 doses destined for the Mayor of Charity, the Borgomanero hospital, the ASL and the RSA.

For the Vco area, 2 boxes and 1,950 doses destined for the hospitals of Domosossola and Verbania and the nursing homes.

For the territory of Vercelli 2 boxes and 1,950 doses destined for Sant’Andrea, Borgosesia hospital and RSA.
