LECCE – There are more than six hundred new coronavirus infections (187 more than yesterday) registered today in Puglia according to data reported by the regional epidemiological bulletin. With an increase in the number of tampons, 5,147 currently processed, and a lower incidence compared to the week-start surveys, which stood at 11.8 percent overall. However, thirteen deaths are also recorded. There are 2,090 more swabs made in the last 24 hours (yesterday there were 3,057, but with a higher incidence of positivity: 424 cases of contagion equal to 13.9 percent).

Today, however, the president of the Puglia region, Michele Emiliano, based on information from the director of the health promotion department, Vito Montanaro, has reported instead that 5,147 molecular tests have been processed for Covid-19 infection. and 611 swabs have been found. positive (equivalent to 11.8% of the cases analyzed) throughout the region. Among these fifteen are those attributable to the province of Lecce, thirteen less than yesterday’s figure. These latest data have raised the number of current infected subjects throughout the regional territory to the threshold of 8,708 units.

Of these, as mentioned, fifteen are attributable to the province of Lecce, (a new confirmed case in Aradeo of a contact of the resident who recently returned from abroad and already in fiduciary quarantine and three in Lecce, in the Settelacquare market, but already known for a few days, while in Cutrofiano the municipal administration has confirmed that only 5 subjects are still positive in the territory of the city according to official data communicated by the ASL compared to the 28 registered yesterday. Meanwhile, in Taurisano the schools Municipalities closed from October 28 to 30 due to the sanitation of the environments, as happened and presented the mayor Marra also in Squinzano in recent days after the positivity of a teacher. On the other hand, 239 cases are registered in the province of Bari, 13 in the province of Brindisi, 142 in Bat, 137 in the province of Foggia and 58 in the province of Taranto Seven positive cases attributed to residents outside the region . The number of people cured in the region is 6,187 according to the data reported by the bulletin today, 169 more than yesterday. Currently active cases date back and today they are in all of Puglia 8,708. There are 8,011 people in home isolation. Since the beginning of the emergency, a total of 531,155 tests have been carried out to determine the positivity or not of the possible infected. The patients admitted to the dedicated rooms are 697 today, forty-nine more than yesterday’s figure. Of these, there are now 62 hospitalized in intensive care.

The total number of positive cases in Apulia confirmed since the beginning of the emergency phase, and updated with the data of the last two days, is expected to amount to 15,581 divided as follows: 6,524 in the province of Bari; 1,646 in the province of Bat; 1,081 in the province of Brindisi; 3,691 in the province of Foggia; 1,134 in the province of Lecce; 1,391 in the province of Taranto. There are 114 cases attributed to residents outside the region. The total of deaths amounts to 686.
