Covid 19, more than fifty new cases and five more deaths in the last 24 hours
With today’s data from the start of the pandemic, the province of Prato has 9,654 cases and 209 deaths. Compared to yesterday, the new infected people increase while in all Tuscany they decrease
Fifty-four new cases and 5 deaths from Covid-19. This is the situation registered in the province of Prato in the last 24 hours according to the regional bulletin with data verified at 12 o’clock today based on requests from the National Civil Protection. Since the beginning of the pandemic until today, 9,654 people have been infected in Prato. This is the distribution in the territory of the 54 new cases: Cantagallo 1, Montemurlo 8, Poggio a Caiano 2, Prato 41, Vaiano 2. In comparison with the Region of the ASL Tuscany Center there is one less death, probably the volunteer of the 44-year-old Golden Cross.
So let’s see who the four dead today are: a 73-year-old woman from Carmignano and a 97-year-old woman from Prato, both died in Santo Stefano, an 86-year-old woman and an 87-year-old man, both from Prato, who died in his own house.
Compared to yesterday, when there were 24 new cases, the balance certainly worsens, but remains in an order of magnitude that is not worrisome also because the general curve tends to continue falling. In fact, in all of Tuscany there are 428 new cases more than 593 yesterday.
Instead, the deaths are slightly more and precisely 35: 17 men and 18 women with an average age of 82.7 years. Thus, deaths amount to 2,933 since the beginning of the epidemic.
The swabs made reached 1,661,394, 8,110 more than yesterday, of which 5.3% positive. On the other hand, 2,730 subjects evaluated today (excluding control swabs), of which 15.7% were positive. To these are added the 3,001 rapid antigenic swabs that are made today. Today’s positives are 26,024, -7.3% compared to yesterday. 1,588 (-30) were hospitalized, of which 253 were in intensive care (stable).
The average age of 428 cases is currently around 48 years (14% are under 20, 23% between 20 and 39, 28% between 40 and 59, 24% between 60 and 79, 11% are 80 years or older) . In general, 24,436 people are isolated in their homes, as they have mild or no symptoms (-2,030). There are 31,325 (-291) people, also isolated, under active surveillance because they have had contact with those infected. The total of people healed is 80,461 (+2,453).
Beds in Prato structures. They are basically stable compared to yesterday. In Santo Stefano, the ordinary Covid area has 97 out of 106 occupied seats, while intensive care 17 out of 32. In the center of Melagrana, 40 out of 42 seats are occupied and in the west building of the old hospital 34 out of 36.
