Covid-19, data from the Morelli hospital in Sondalo on Monday, September 26: hospitalized and discharged

The weekend that has just ended has brought to light an increasingly negative situation: today there are 87 patients admitted to the Morelli Hospital, of which seven were seriously ill in intensive care, 64 last Thursday. Between Saturday and Sunday, 13 new patients with covid-19 were admitted, mostly seventy, sixty and fifty, while two deaths were registered. Seven resigned. Among the 87 hospitalized there are 39 women and 48 men, in intensive care the ratio is six men per woman. There are around thirty people from nursing homes, many of whom are in good health and close to discharge, while among the seven patients admitted yesterday, all from Valtellina, there are no RSA elders.

Reorganization

As requested by the Lombardy Region (read here), the Company is reorganizing the hospital activity to guarantee the medical, nursing and socio-sanitary personnel, in the already operational covid-19 departments and in those that will be open soon . Therapies for cancer patients and emergencies will be guaranteed, while scheduled surgical interventions are suspended, with the exception of oncological ones that will be performed on a regular basis. Currently 11 doctors work full time in the covid-19 wards, plus others in shifts, coordinated by Dr. Chiara Rebucci.

Swabs

As for the swabs, those made by the Company since the beginning of the health emergency are 19,350, of which more than 2,200 positive, also taking into account the repeated ones. Since last September 15, just under six thousand have been carried out, of which 424 positive results, while only for the month of October there have been almost 400 of a total of about 4400.

The swabs for urgent checks requested by Ats Montagna, those of students, teachers and non-teaching staff of the school, those related to hospital activities and those of employees of all sectors of the school are processed in the analysis laboratory directed by Dr. Antonio Croce. ‘Company. In the latter case, as happened for the Sondalo Medicine staff, for a Pediatric doctor from Sondrio and for another from the Chiavenna Department of Surgery, the protocol that provides immediate controls to patients and employees is applied.
