Covid-19, another 122 infections and eight deaths in the Piacentino area

Since the start of the coronavirus epidemic, 126,110 positive cases have been registered in Emilia-Romagna, 1,569 more than yesterday, out of a total of 19,676 swabs made in the last 24 hours. The percentage of new positives on the number of manufactured tampons is therefore 8%, compared to 8.7% yesterday. The control and prevention activity continues: of the newly infected, 838 are asymptomatic identified as part of the regional contact tracing and detection activities. Overall, among the 288 new positives already isolated at the time of swab execution, 401 were identified within known foci. The average age of new positives today is 44.7 years. Of the 838 asymptomatic, 436 were identified through contact tracing, 66 through tests for risk categories introduced by the Region, 10 through serological tests, and 7 through prehospital tests. An epidemiological investigation of 319 cases is still underway. These are the data – verified today at 12 o’clock on the basis of institutional requests – related to the advance of the epidemic in the region.

PIACENZA – The positive cases verified in Piacenza amounted to 12,715 (+122 compared to yesterday, of which 47 symptomatic). There are eight deaths: (6 women, two of whom are 92 years old and the remaining 50, 74, 84 and 88 years old and 2 men are 85 and 89 years old). There are 13 hospitalized in intensive care (-2 compared to yesterday).

CONTAGION – The contagion situation in the provinces sees Bologna with 316 new cases; followed by Rimini (293), Modena (191), Ravenna (186), Reggio Emilia (166), Piacenza (122) and Ferrara (118). Then the territory of Cesena (49), Imola (47) and Forlì (46), finally the province of Parma (35).

INFECTED IN DETAIL – These are the cases of positivity in the area since the beginning of the epidemic, which refer not to the province of residence, but to the one in which the diagnosis was made: 12,715 in Piacenza (+122 compared to yesterday, of which 47 symptomatic), 10,565 in Parma (+35, of which 19 symptomatic), 17,967 in Reggio Emilia (+166 of which 61 symptomatic), 22,991 Modena (+191, of which 121 symptomatic), 24,504 in Bologna (+316, of which which 123 symptomatic), 3,609 cases in Imola (+47, of which 16 symptomatic), 6,235 in Ferrara (+118, of which 31 symptomatic), 8,387 in Ravenna (+186, of which 90 symptomatic), 4,634 in Forlì (+46, of which 38 symptomatic), 4,069 in Cesena (+49, of which 32 symptomatic) and 10,434 in Rimini (+293, of which 155 symptomatic). After verifying the data reported in recent days, 2 cases (1 in Ferrara, 1 in Modena) were eliminated as non-COVID-19 cases.

SEROLOGIES AND HISPITES – In the last 24 hours, 19,676 swabs were made, for a total of 2,156,981. To these are also added 1,728 serological tests. As for the total number of people cured, they are 2,037 more than yesterday and reach 48,931.

ACTIVE CASES – Active cases, that is, real patients, to date are 71,305 (-537 compared to yesterday). Of these, people isolated at home, or those with mild symptoms that do not require hospital treatment or do not have symptoms, are 68,366 (-500) in general, 95.9% of all active cases.

DEATH – Unfortunately, 69 new deaths are registered: 18 in Bologna (10 women, four of whom are 90 years old, two are 92 years old and the remaining are 63, 83, 87 and 93 years old and 8 men, two of whom are 90 years old and the remaining 73, 80, 81, 85, 91 and 96 years), 10 in Ravenna (8 women of 66, 72, 81, 83, 86, 90, 92, 97 years and 2 men of 71 and 89 years), 8 in Piacenza (6 women, two of whom are 92 years old and the remaining 50, 74, 84 and 88 years old and 2 men between 85 and 89 years old), 7 in Reggio Emilia (4 men, three of whom are 72 years old and one is 86 and 3 women, two of whom are 92 years old and one is 87), 7 in Ferrara (5 men are 55, 77, 82, 89 and 90 years and 2 women of 80 and 97 years), 6 in Parma (4 women of 61, 76, 86 and 99 and 2 men of 70 and 75 years), 6 in Modena (4 women of 85, 86, 89 and 92 and 2 men of 79 and 94 years), 5 in Rimini (3 men of 78, 84 and 91 and 2 women of 82 and 97 years), 1 in Forlì-Cesena (1 man of 73 years). Among the deaths there is also a 72-year-old man, diagnosed by the Parma Local Health Authority but residing outside the Region. In total, there have been 5,874 deaths in the region since the start of the epidemic.

INTENSIVE CARE – There are 247 patients admitted to intensive care (unchanged from yesterday), 2,692 those from the rest of the Covid departments (-37). In the territory, patients admitted to intensive care are distributed as follows: 13 in Piacenza (-2 compared to yesterday), 16 in Parma (+2), 34 in Reggio Emilia (no change), 57 in Modena (+1), 60 in Bologna (+4), 4 in Imola (no change), 18 in Ferrara (-3), 12 in Ravenna (-2), 6 in Forlì (-1), 3 in Cesena (unchanged) and 24 in Rimini (+1).
