Four new Covid victims in Sardinia and 176 other infections. New cases are on the rise, but, on the other hand, the positivity rate falls from 3.5% to 1%.
The number of hospitalized patients is increasing slightly.
Here is the full bulletin for Sunday, March 21, 2021: “A total of 43,257 positive Covid-19 cases have been detected in Sardinia since the beginning of the emergency. 176 new cases were detected in the latest update of the regional unit of crisis.
A total of 913,093 swabs were performed, for an overall increase of 16,280 tests compared to the previous figure. The ratio of positive cases to swabs performed marks a positive rate of 1% for the island.
There were four new deaths (1,209 total). On the other hand, 178 patients are currently hospitalized in non-intensive wards (+3), while 21 (-1) patients are in intensive care. There are 12,817 people in home isolation. Those cured are a total of 28,847 (+54), while the people declared clinically cured on the island are currently 185.
Of the 43,257 positive cases verified in total, 10,726 (+92) were detected in the metropolitan city of Cagliari, 6,842 (+6) in southern Sardinia, 3,571 (+17) in Oristano, 8,493 (+20) in Nuoro, 13,625 (+ 41) in Sassari “.
