In the last 24 hours, 1,648 new cases of coronavirus have been registered in Italy (1,494 yesterday), compared to 90,185 swabs, almost 40,000 more than yesterday. The deaths were 24, compared to 16 yesterday and the average of the last days. The general total of infected, including victims and cured, amounts to 313,011. The total number of casualties amounts to 35,875. Among the regions, the one with the highest number of new cases is always Campania (+286) followed by Lazio (+219) and Lombardy (+203). No region has zero cases.

Intensive care patients increase by another 7 units to 271, hospitalized with symptoms of 71 units and now there are 3,048. There are currently 47,311 people in home isolation (+229), the positives are 50,630 (+307). The discharged and healed are 226,506, increasing by 1,316 units.

The CTS has given the green light to the possibility of rapid swabs in schools for screening only. According to what was learned, there was indeed an agreement in principle during the meeting on the draft circular presented by the Ministry of Health in which it is explicitly stated that “for the exclusive purposes of screening it is possible to use antigen tests” in the schools. . The circular was not on the agenda and was illustrated by representatives of the ministry.
