Covid: 10,872 new cases, the positivity rate rises to 12.3% – Medicine

10,872 new cases of coronavirus have been identified in Italy in the last 24 hours, for a total of 1,964,054 since the start of the emergency. In contrast, the increase in casualties in one day is 415, bringing the total to 69,214. To date in Italy there are 613,582 positives currently, with a decrease in the last 24 hours of 9,178. The increase in patients cured and discharged in one day is 19,632, which brings the total since the start of the emergency to 1,281,258.

87,889 swabs have been made for Covid in the last 24 hours, almost 50 thousand less than the 137,420 on Saturday. The ratio between swabs performed and identified positives is 12.3%, and continues to increase, by more than one point, compared to 11% on Sunday. There are 2,731 patients hospitalized in intensive care for Covid in Italy, 12 less than yesterday in the balance between entries and exits. According to the Ministry of Health, daily admissions to resuscitation are 161. In ordinary wards, on the other hand, 25,145 people are hospitalized, with a decrease of 13 patients compared to yesterday.
